Based on a harpsichord signed "Johann Heinrich Gräbner der Jûngere, Dresden 1774", and conserved in the Musikinstrumenten-Museum der Karl-Marx-Universität of Leipzig, this instrument has remarkable properties. Its sound is full and powerful. Its timbre recalls that of harpsichords of Ruckers family, with some added Italian coloration. An excellent instrument for the music of J.S. Bach, his contemporaries, and his successors.
